Pushing Past the Circle

“Oh, I have writer’s block…”

“I can’t seem to get over this wall that keeps getting in my way…”

“This barrier prevents me from…”

When we think of these phrases we imagine, normally, a linear, insurmountable object appears that is too difficult or impossible to overcome.  Squares, boxes, walls, blocks, etc. are examples of objects that are associated with adversity.  Maybe it is the symmetrical nature innate within each of us that makes us fear this rigid, yet perfect mental prison.  Maybe because of our natural fear of what we don’t know, in addition to not being able to physically see through walls on a regular basis, is why we are afraid to push past these behemoth, impeding structures.

Whatever the reason may be, this isn’t my problem.

My struggle is pushing past the circle.

A bubble…

A membrane…

a geometrically perfect prison….

No start, no beginning.  Just it’s an enclosure where you can see where you need to go, but you have no idea where to begin.

Its perpetual perfection as a structure makes me feel enclosed; but guess what?

It’s all good.

I have so many things that I need to push past to get to where I need to go, but I’ll do it.  I have to in order to meet my own expectations, let alone the ones of the people supporting me too.

So yeah, I’ll stop sitting on this blog and publish it already.  What ever geometric shape that entraps you in a feeling of helplessness that you have to deal with, break that shit down and do that you gotta do.  It’s definitely not easy, but just giving up wouldn’t be fun, now would it?
